We want our clients to feel comfortable. When you call, text or email us we will respond and you will feel and experience this individualized approach yourself.
During this response from us and as we learn more about your issues and concerns, we will discuss with you the therapists who specialize in your concerns and are the most beneficial and comfortable for you. Some people would prefer to not discuss their issues and concerns. Of course, this is fine as it is that individual’s comfort level.
Creating a trusting therapeutic relationship is of great importance to us, but also, we want to help you to learn effective coping skills. These are all part of our approach.
All therapeutic approaches applied are evidence-based. In other words, the approaches are backed up by research. We want to make sure you get the best service to help you reach your goals.
We have had new clients ask, “How much say do I have in picking my therapist?
That's a good question. As a new potential client, you may be very worried about that. You might be thinking, are they just going to randomly choose someone for me?
No, definitely not! We want to hear about you as an individual. We will let you know who specializes in working with you as a person and your individual concerns and issues.
As I mentioned previously, during the response process we will mutually agree upon who to match you with. If you are not interested in that person or if you don't feel it's a good match, we will look at providing a different therapist for you. Also, we can schedule a 15-minute free consultation with one or more therapists, so you have additional information to make your decision.
From your first contact to becoming a client, you are in the driver's seat and you decide what your goals are. We are empathetic and listening, but we also want to make sure that you walk away with the effective coping strategies to use in your day-to-day life.
Once you are a client, if you are not satisfied with the service or you’re therapy is not meeting your needs, we encourage you to discuss this with your therapist or contact our Managing Director, Cathy Shurie.
