Patricia Mongeon has been providing therapy to individual adults and adolescents for over 20 years. 

She has been in positions as a Professor in mental health treatment and social service work, Psychotherapist, Faculty and Community Services Program Coordinator. Ms. Mongeon has provided services in the community in the areas of domestic abuse, youth support, addictions and mental health (outpatient, day and live-in treatment). She has developed and taught several college courses focused on group support in the areas of mental health, life skills coaching, addiction, and mood disorders working with a broad range of people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Ms. Mongeon believes people are not victims of circumstances, with information and support you cope more effectively with life’s challenges. .

She believes when we work together, you will better understand how your thoughts, feelings can enable your progress. With counselling, you can grow in your understanding and insight and become more aware of how you can impact your own well being and overcome current realities. Ms. Mongeon encourages you to reach out and take time for yourself. This is a safe place and judgement free.

She employs therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Eclectic, Humanistic, Family Systems, Narrative, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Positive Psychology, Motivational Interviewing, Person Centered, Emotionally Focused, Culturally Sensitive and Strength Based.
