Ms. Shurie has been working with individual adults, adolescents, and children, as well as couples, and families for over 40 years.

She has been in positions as a program manager, clinical director, and clinical consultant. Ms. Shurie has provided services in the community in the areas of children’s mental health, school, group and foster care, and private practice settings. She has conducted custody and access assessments and helped couples deal with separation and divorce to reach an agreement. In addition, she has provided clinical training with professionals and client groups

Ms. Shurie employs therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness and Relaxation, Family Systems, Narrative, Attachment-Based, Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Trauma Focused, Humanistic, Eclectic, Narrative, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Person Centred, Culturally Sensitive, Strength Based.
