Ms. Ahching (she/her) has been working with individual adults, adolescent, and children for over 14 years.  She offers an eclectic, client-centred and strength-based approach catering to each individual’s unique experiences.  She uses a trauma-informed lens and fosters a collaborative therapeutic alliance. 

Ms. Ahching employs a variety of evidence -based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Attachment Theory, Trauma Focused, Eclectic, Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Interpersonal, Multicultural, Narrative, Humanistic, Feminist, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy,  Solution-Focused Brief (SFBT), Compassion Focused, and Motivational Interviewing techniques.

She has been in positions as clinical social worker, psychotherapist, parent support specialist, and mental health case manager. She has provided support to individuals from diverse multicultural heritage, who have experienced mental health challenges, immigration, vocational and educational stress. She has provided support to neurodivergent children and the LGBTQIA2+ community. She provides therapy in English, Hindi, Chinese dialect – Hakka.

Ms. Ahching has provided services in the areas of adult’s mental health, group clinical supervision, psychoeducational and peer support workshops. She conducts in-depth biopsychosocial assessments. She worked in a variety of settings such as community organizations, hospitals, and private practice.
